The Statistics Literacy Corner is one of the innovations in BPS statistics services to improve statistical literacy for the community, especially for students at the high school level. Until now, the Central Statistics Agency of Wonogiri Regency has held two Statistics Literacy activities for high schools.
On September 10, 2024, BPS Wonogiri Regency in collaboration with SMK Negeri 1 Jatiroto inaugurated the Statistics Literacy Corner of SMK Negeri 1 Jatiroto.
Carrying the principles of collaboration, synergy, and usefulness, the Statistics Literacy Corner collaborates with students as statistical agents in organizing statistical services and promotions in the school environment. The Head of BPS Wonogiri Regency, Mr. Rahmad Iswanto, S.ST, M.Si said that the Statistics Literacy Corner is a form of collaboration in developing statistics through organizing programs and activities to improve statistical literacy, such as promoting BPS data and data utilization.
The Statistics Literacy Corner program is expected to bring services closer so that the community is more familiar with statistics and understands its role in building the National Statistics System.
