Wonogiri – The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Wonogiri Regency has successfully conducted the Training for Field Officers on Updating the Geospatial Framework and Statistical Work Area Content (Wilkerstat) for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026). This training is part of the crucial preparatory phase for the 2026 Economic Census.

The training was carried out in four waves, covering a total of 25 classes, and was held at four designated Training Centers (TC): RM Saraswati, RM Alami Sayang, RM Resto Jawi, and RM Mbak Ning.

A total of 616 officers participated in the training, consisting of 103 Field Supervisors (PML) and 513 Field Enumerators (PPL). The purpose of the training was to equip field officers with the technical and operational knowledge necessary for the Geospatial Framework and Wilkerstat Content Updating activity, which is scheduled to take place in August 2025.

Preparing for the 2026 Economic Census: Building a Solid Data Foundation

Updating the geospatial framework is a vital stage in preparing for the 2026 Economic Census (SE2026). Through this activity, officers are expected to identify and update statistical work area maps comprehensively and accurately. The results will serve as a foundational element for planning workloads, assigning enumeration areas, and locating business entities during the implementation of SE2026.

The training covered various topics, including understanding the geospatial framework, use of digital mapping tools, delineation of statistical work areas, completion of area-specific data forms, and reporting procedures. The sessions were designed to be interactive and practical to ensure officers are well-prepared to tackle real-world challenges in the field with confidence and professionalism.

Collaboration and the Spirit of #SahabatData

Through this training, BPS Wonogiri emphasized the importance of synergy among officers, trainers, and support teams in ensuring the success of each stage in preparing for SE2026. Well-trained and competent field staff are key to ensuring that the data collected accurately reflects the economic and business conditions in each area.

We also invite the public and all stakeholders to support the work of our officers in the field. Encouragement, cooperation, and collective spirit are essential to ensuring the smooth implementation and optimal outcomes of the geospatial updating activities.

Let’s get ready to welcome the 2026 Economic Census with enthusiasm and full commitment to delivering reliable and high-quality economic data!
Wishing strength and success to all our dedicated field officers!
