Ensuring Accurate Economic Census 2026 Data through the AMAN Program

September 14, 2026 | BPS Activities

Wonogiri – The commitment to producing accurate, complete, and high-quality statistical data continues to be a priority for the Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) of Wonogiri Regency in implementing the Economic Census 2026 (SE2026). As part of its efforts to safeguard data quality, BPS Wonogiri regularly conducts internal meetings and evaluations to review implementation progress and ensure the quality of the data generated through the census.

Data quality assurance is an important component of the SE2026 implementation process. The data collected through the census will provide valuable information on the conditions and characteristics of economic activities in Wonogiri Regency. Therefore, the census process does not end with field data collection but continues through a series of data verification, evaluation, and quality control stages.

To strengthen this process, BPS Wonogiri has developed an innovation program called AMAN, which stands for Antisipasi dan Mitigasi Anomali Wonogiri or Wonogiri Anomaly Anticipation and Mitigation. The program is designed to support the identification and anticipation of potential anomalies in SE2026 data, allowing the evaluation process to be carried out in a more systematic and targeted manner.

Through AMAN, data quality assurance focuses on identifying various indications of irregularities or anomalies in the collected data. These findings can then serve as a basis for further examination and evaluation by the relevant teams. In this way, potential data issues can be identified at an early stage and followed up in accordance with applicable procedures.

The development of AMAN also demonstrates that data quality is a shared responsibility that must be maintained continuously. Every stage of the census plays an important role in producing reliable data. From preparation and field data collection to verification, processing, and evaluation, every process needs to be carried out carefully and in a well-coordinated manner.

Regular evaluation meetings provide a platform for BPS Wonogiri personnel to discuss various aspects of SE2026 implementation. These forums allow the team to review implementation developments, monitoring results, and various indications that require further attention. Internal coordination is essential to ensure that every stage proceeds according to established targets and quality standards.

Commitment to data quality is particularly important because the results of SE2026 are expected to provide a more comprehensive picture of economic conditions. The resulting information can support various needs, including development planning, policy evaluation, and the identification of the potential and characteristics of economic activities.

For local governments and other stakeholders, the availability of high-quality data is one of the foundations for formulating effective policies. Accurate data can provide a more objective picture of actual conditions, enabling development programs and policies to be designed based on measurable circumstances and needs.

Through the rigorous implementation and monitoring of SE2026, BPS Wonogiri hopes to produce data that are not only comprehensive but also reliable and accountable. The AMAN innovation represents one of the concrete efforts to strengthen data quality control and evaluation mechanisms at the regional level.

SE2026 is not merely a data collection activity; it is an investment in understanding economic dynamics and supporting development in the future. Every piece of information collected therefore has an important role in describing the economic conditions of communities and businesses.

BPS Wonogiri will continue to safeguard the quality of SE2026 processes and results through coordination, evaluation, and continuous innovation. With a strong commitment to producing accurate, complete, and reliable data, the results of SE2026 are expected to provide tangible benefits for the government, businesses, and other stakeholders in formulating policies that are more targeted and responsive to actual conditions.
