Every November 12 is observed as National Health Day (HKN) in Indonesia. Today is celebrated in order to raise awareness, will and the ability to live healthy for all Indonesian people. National Healthcare Day has been observed every November 12th since 1964. Quoting from the Ministry of Health of RI, on November 12, 1964 marks the successful eradication of malaria epidemic in Indonesia.

Each year, nationwide the observance of National Health Day is usually organized by the RI Ministry of Health, promoting different themes.

In commemoration of the 60th National Health Day 2024 Kemenkes uses the theme "Move Together, Healthy Together". This theme has the meaning of the importance of maintaining health, invites people to always maintain health, build spirit and optimism to stay healthy, and reminds the importance of implementing a Clean and Healthy Lifestyle (PHBS). It aims to create a healthy and productive society, as well as give a positive impact to all elements of life.
