Abstract

In February 2024, there was m-to-m inflation of 0.61%, y-on-y inflation of 3.88% and y-to-d inflation of 0.58%.

The main contributor to inflation in February 2024 on a m-to-m basis was the food, beverage, and tobacco group with a contribution of 0.58%. The main commodities contributing to inflation included rice, chicken eggs, and red chilies.

The main contributors to inflation in February 2024 on a y-on-y basis were:

*Food, beverage, and tobacco group with a contribution of 3.35%. The main commodity contributing to inflation in this group was rice

*Personal care and other services group with a contribution of 0.30%. The main commodity contributing to inflation in this group was bath soap

*Food and beverage provider group with a contribution of 0.14%. The main commodity contributing to inflation in this group was oily cookies
